Finding the perfect Christmas present

Many people think that the best thing about Christmas is getting all the presents. My favourite part is watching other people opening my gifts. You sit their carefully studying thier eyes, because the eyes never lie, and in one second you know if you've managed to get them the PERFECT present. I am lucky because in my family we usually get each other good stuff, with the exception of my aunt's boyfriend, but after I read the following stories I considered myself very lucky...

H&M putting clothes on

Seems as if this year H&M have binned their traditional Christmas lingerie campaign. The campain that for several years have shown famous models such as, Pamela Andersson, Anna Nicole Smith and Naomi Campbell, some of them more remembered than others for causing traffic chaos and accidents in several countries in Europe. The posters have been loved, but also hated and looked upon as degrating for women. So are H&M backing down due to the critisism? Well according to the H&M press office, no not at all. They claim that they want to focus their Christmas campaign around the Karl Lagerfeld collection instead. It sounds like a good reason, but I think that many of the posters last year in Sweden who had "leave our bodies alone" scribbled over them might have something to do with it...

2 month christmas?

Everyday whilst walking down Oxford street I feel as if I am bombarded with Christmas decorations, songs and Christmas shopping tourists. Its Novemebr and I feel as if I'm already fed up with Christmas. Is it really OK that Boots put up their Christmas decorations BEFORE Halloween? I cannot help but wonder, when did Christmas become a 2 month holliday?
